Conscious of the conservation of our natural heritage
Hugo Sánchez Mateos

I have always enjoyed nature, especially with bird watching, a hobby that I have the pleasure to share with my family and good friends since childhood. The contemplation of life in its different forms, whether identifying species, repairing their vital processes or their evolutionary mechanisms of adaptation, arouses in the curious observer a feeling of charm and perplexity. As the great ethologist Konrad Lorenz said - "He who contemplates beauty with his eyes, is no longer a tributary of death as Platen says, but of nature, whose beauty he has understood, and if his eyes really serve to see, he will arrive inexcusably, naturalist. "-

Our philosophy

The company is born of values of respect, conservation and improvement of our natural spaces, so it could be part of ecotourism, one of the most effective and beneficial ways to provide employment opportunities to small rural areas, protecting and providing it time our natural heritage and its species.

The people that make up the Iduna Tours team collaborate actively and selflessly in the conservation of our bird species, through censuses, informative activities and study projects, in what is now known as citizen science. If you want to know more about this topic, visit the projects section.
The idea that motivates the creation of this company, is to offer a professional service of observation of nature in the various natural areas of the autonomous community of Extremadura, and especially in the province of Cáceres.

One of our objectives is to help diversify the destinations to try to decentralize the demand of this activity, covering some of the most interesting natural events that take place in the region and the different areas of Spain at each time of the year.
